Patrick Leo launches mortgage broking business: Leo Loans

New Boutique Broker Off to a Roaring Start

Leo Loans & Finance has just launched, aiming to deliver a personalised mortgage broking service to the Australian property-buying market that takes the pain out of the borrowing process while unlocking access to the most competitive lending products.

While Australia’s real estate sector grapples with the impact of 13 interest rate rises since 2022 amid a shortage of new housing supply, there is a robust demand for professional, independent credit advice and the ability to secure a competitive finance package.

Based in Potts Point, Leo Loans & Finance is a boutique mortgage broking firm focused on connecting borrowers with competitive finance options across Australia.

Formed by Patrick Leo, a real estate agency specialising in investment sales and property management, Leo Loans & Finance will service Patrick Leo’s expanding national client base.

Importantly, it will also cater to the pent-up demand for refinancing from owner-occupiers and investors across Greater Sydney.

“Leo Loans was formed in response to growing demand from our clients. It will deliver a seamless and fully-integrated service to our investors, streamlining the borrowing process and enhancing efficiencies by eliminating the need for them to deal with multiple external parties,” said James Nihill, Managing Director of Patrick Leo.

He noted that investors remain particularly active, with current interest rates being less of an obstacle to buying than in the owner-occupier market.

“Investment activity remains buoyant driven by market fundamentals of strong rents, low vacancies and high population growth combined with the forecast shortage in housing supply in most capitals,” he said.

Leo Loans & Finance is led by Kurt Ackermann, an experienced broker who holds an impressive track record of success with years of experience at high profile banking institutions including the Commonwealth Bank and HSBC.

“It’s a brutal market out there in 2023, and it has never been more critical to ensure borrowers have access to confident lending advice and the best products available,” said Kurt Ackermann, Head of Finance at Leon Loans & Finance.

With a focus on delivering a highly personalised service, Leo Loans & Finance is committed to sourcing competitive and flexible home loan products, tailored to the individual needs of each borrower. Leo Loans & Finance also aims to streamline the home loan approvals process, taking the stress out of portfolio-building and first home ownership.

Leo Loans & Finance is owned by specialist investment real estate agency Patrick Leo. Formed in 2014, Patrick Leo holds real estate licenses in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia, and offers investment sales, property management and consultancy services.
